This morning I woke up to the gentle sound of rain on my tile rooftop and looked out my window to see an entirely different city. Is it possible that Florence is even more beautiful in the rain? The cobblestones shimmer, reflecting the warm glow of streetlights. I've always loved the rain and never more so than this morning. Just look at how my street came alive in this early morning rain.
Langston Hughes once wrote:
"Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby."
That's just how I felt as I walked to class early this morning. Not a bad way to begin the day!
